Microsoft is losing the race day by day. The problem is not marketing, naming the products, public relations or anything else. It is just “simplicity”. I think Microsoft’s last chance dramatically losed because of “live” idea. Because “simplicity” rules on the Web and there is nothing simple like Google! Why did microsoft created a simple interface for live? (and seperated it from msn network?)
People choosed Google instead of Altavista and Yahoo. Altavista was only a search engine and it was quicker than Yahoo. But Yahoo’s results were beter than Altavista. Google’s difference is; a simple interface (very simple), incomparable search speed, amazing relevant search results and features.
If Microsoft want to catch Google in the Internet Industry, they should care on “simplicity” more than it deserves. Because, amazingly, internet users don’t like great web designs. While Microsoft and other companies working on beating Google, it sleeps? Absolutely not. They add too many new features every day to Google Search. And there is not change in the speed. This is the secret of Google, secret of Success… Google gives people “time”…And currently there is no other company that can give people such a great gift. |
