positive Blue capped cordon bleu birds (Uraeginthus cyanocephalus) are one of the sweetest birds that can easily get adapted to aviaires. I have 2 cordons and i'm new to these birds. I'm an experienced finch lover for more than 10 years but i need to learn more about this birds. They are max 3 inches long, breeding of these birds is not that easy. If you're aware of the breeding speed of finches, probably blue capped cordons may stretch your patience :)
The most important point in breeding is; these birds needs alive food. You need to be a bug collector during that period. These birds are lovely birds but they need calm room conditions to breed like any other cage birds. I've read some articles around the web about this birds but most of them failed on breeding these sweet things.
During the sunset, listen to the voice of your blue capped cordon bleu's voice, take a cup of tea and leave yourself to the arms of the life...
