Lawyers for a man accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart could conclude their case as early as Thursday, a day after the young woman stormed out of court during trial.
Smart abruptly left the courtroom Wednesday during the trial of Brian Mitchell, who is charged with kidnapping the Utah teen in 2002. She was 14 at the time.
