We reported last week that AMC's popular zombie series The Walking Dead is heading to DVD and Blu-ray courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment on March 8,2011. No detailed information has been released about extra content at this time, but, sources close to the series are reporting about the Walking Dead Season 2.

Deadline is reporting that The Walking Dead writer and director Frank Darabont has 'let go of the writers' including 'Darabont's No. 2, writing executive producer Charles “Chic” Eglee'. The story continues, 'Darabont is looking to forgo having a writing staff for the second season of Walking Dead altogether and assign scripts to freelancers'.
