They are forts built in the Thames during WWII to fend off (the possibly zombie) German navy. However in the event of Zombie outbreak mines the one on the left, I like the balcony feature. |

Could these also the be off-coast forts for the Spanish Fleet built by Queen Elisabeth I? this pictures obviously taken at low tide - at high tide they sit much lower in the water - could be bad news for the Zombie Defensive... |

If not a zombie outbreak hideout, they would at least be great sites for a music video. |

It looks like the place where they filmed the prison scenes for Face/Off. You know, he escapes out only to find out he's in the middle of the ocean... |

What's the escape plan for when the zombies do inevitably infiltrate the structure? I get the battleship. |

You've got it all wrong. This was no oil rig, this was the big shell facility. I was hired to infiltrate it a mission called "Son's of Liberty"! It was destroyed by the hidden base under it, which eventually crashed into the shore. Be careful, snake. |

youd have to consider what type of zombie we are talking about here. the hive mind type would probably kill you no matter where you are unless you happen to make it to the space station, but i think for your average dumb zombie this location is perfect, so long as you have plenty of fishing line. |

According to Max Brooks, author of 'World War Z: A History of the Zombie War' first contact with the un-dead actually occurred in China on a lake that had been flooded by that county's reckless dam building. If that's the case I'm not sure I'd feel 100% safe sitting atop my little pelagic ocean perch. But then, I'm not sure if there's such a thing as a salt water zombie v. the fresh water variety. |

I think these were in a broadcast of "The Secret Agent" filmed in the late 50s or early 60s (back when men were men and zombies didn't have a chance). Plot was about an offshore radio station being used as a front for a spy/criminal gang. |

Indeed... Zombies are notorious for walking underwater. In fact, the historical document from late 1970's Italy entitled "Zombi 2" covered the phenomenon rather extensively.

Why wouldn't Zombies be able to swim?
They can walk, can't they? Walking is just as complex as swimming, if not more complex. Plus, they don't have the risk of drowning. |
